My Face of Africa is a youth grooming and confidence programme by Venturing into Excellence Future Leaders.

It helps young people discover their identity, confidence, culture and personal style, while developing skills in grooming, communication, public speaking and presenting themselves professionally.

Chief Mululeki Peanary Tshalane (Chief Jali)

The Torch of Excellence proudly shines its light on Chief Mululeki Peanary Tshalane, affectionately known as Chief Jali, a respected traditional leader whose life is dedicated to preserving African heritage, empowering communities, and building a legacy of unity and service.

As a leader of the Gauteng East Traditional Council, Chief Jali has become a driving force in promoting cultural restoration, community development, and the preservation of traditional values. Through his leadership, he continues to inspire respect for African customs while creating opportunities that uplift communities and strengthen social cohesion.

Chief Jali believes that leadership is measured by service. His commitment to recognising and empowering women, developing young people, and working alongside community stakeholders reflects his vision of a society where heritage becomes the foundation for progress. His Women's Day initiatives and community programmes celebrate the invaluable role of women as the pillars of families, culture, and nation-building.

A passionate advocate for restoring African identity, Chief Jali works tirelessly to unite traditional leadership, government, educational institutions, and the private sector in pursuit of sustainable community development. Torch of Excellence and Isikhathi Sakho Volunteer Program operate under the shared mission of Venturing Into Excellence Future Leaders NPC: creating opportunities, celebrating leadership, and inspiring positive change.

Isikhathi Sakho provides local and international visitors with the opportunity to experience Africa through service, cultural immersion, leadership development, and community engagement. Participants can choose to leave a meaningful footprint in Africa through volunteer projects, enjoy a volunteer holiday experience, or explore Africa through cultural tourism.

Torch of Excellence serves as the recognition platform that celebrates the individuals, volunteers, community leaders, educators, coaches, artists, and change-makers who are making a difference. Through inspiring stories, achievements, and community impact, Torch of Excellence shines a light on those whose actions transform lives.

Together, these initiatives create a powerful cycle of impact. Isikhathi Sakho creates opportunities for people to serve, learn, and contribute, while Torch of Excellence celebrates and shares those stories with the world. One creates the impact. The other honours it.

Venturing into Excellence

On the 18th of July2026, in honour of Nelson Mandela Day, Venturing into Excellence Future Leaders came together to serve, uplift and inspire our community. We are proud to congratulate Ntuntu and Vocal, from Thutu Lesidi Secondary School in Vosloorus. Who was honoured with certificates of ambassadorship in recognition of their leadership and heart for service. The day included a soup kitchen, time spent with the elderly through entertainment and companionship, and youth engagement aimed at building social responsibility. A special highlight was the choir led by Vocal, which brought joy and unity to everyone present. At Venturing into Excellence we believe leadership is shown through action and compassion. We celebrate our ambassadors and every young person who gave their time to serve others. Be the change, lead with purpose, and serve with heart.

With immense pride and honour, it is my humble privilege to formally present Dr. Dabney Yerima, who was officially decorated yesterday by HRM Prof. (Amb.) Komana Andries and his beautiful, elegant wife.

Dr. Yerima was among the distinguished awardees at our International Conference in Cape Town. Due to an urgent engagement, he was unable to attend the ceremony personally. However, yesterday provided a beautiful opportunity for him to be formally decorated in a ceremony that was truly more than a gathering, it was a celebration of honour, leadership and excellence.

Special congratulations to Dr. Dabney Yerima! We warmly welcome you on board and celebrate your remarkable contribution and commitment.

Our profound appreciation goes to HRM Prof. (Amb.) Komana Andries and his lovely wife for demonstrating exceptional 21st-century visionary leadership, humility and service.

It celebrates the courage it takes to get through treatment, the patience it takes to heal, and the determination it takes to keep moving forward.

Through stories, podcasts, and community spotlights, this section shares real journeys that inspire hope, not pity. We believe challenges do not define a person, but how they keep going does. Life Beyond Limits, the story of strength, recovery, and living fully.
